Le 30 avril 2007, Fajardo, Puerto Rico
Nous sommes arrivés à Fajardo mercredi dernier. Nous avons loué un quai à la marina Puerto Del Rey, une marina qui héberge 1,000 bateaux et nous avons loué une auto pour une semaine.
Notre fils Nicolas est arrivé samedi et passera la semaine avec nous. Étant donné que l’aéroport est à San Juan, nous avons passé la fin de la journée de samedi dans le vieux San Juan , qui ressemble au vieux Québec. Les maisons datent des années 1500 et la ville est entourée d’une forteresse comme le vieux Québec. C’est aussi très beau.
Il y a plusieurs très belles petites îles à quelques miles de la marina qui se prêtent bien à la baignade et à la plongée et nous en avons bien profité. Nous avons passé l’après-midi d’hier à l’île Cayo Icacos. Aujourd’hui nous irons à Isla Palaminos.
Nicolas repartira vendredi prochain et nous avons l’intention de quitter Puerto Rico aussitôt en direction de St-Thomas et les Îles Vierges.

We arrived in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, last Wednesday. We rented a slip at the Puerto Del Rey Marina, a 1000 slip marina, and we rented a car for a week.
Our son Nicolas arrived Saturday and will spend the week with us. Since the airport is in San Juan, we took the opportunity and spent the rest of the day in the Old San Juan, which reminded us of Old Quebec City. The houses are circa 1500 and the town is surrounded by a fortress like the Old Quebec. It is very nice.
There are many islands near the marina which are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. We took advantage of those. We sailed to Cayo Icacos where we anchored for the afternoon. Today, we are planning to go to Isla Palominos.
Nick will return home next Friday and we are planning to leave for St-Thomas and the Virgin Island soon after.
