Nous arrivons dans Fort Lauderdale suivis de Roger Gendron de Beauharnois qui nous suit avec son bateau moteur. Il nous guide dans la New River jusqu'au "boat yard" où nous trouvons des bateaux de 100 pieds et plus. Le lendemain nous revenons à la marina the New River pour y rester environ une semaine. Il y a des iguanes très grosses et des lézards.

We arrived in Fort Lauderdale followed by a friend from our home town who guides us to a boat year with his power boat. After 12 bridges in a very busy sunday afternoon and a very busy river, we tie up at the boat yard to realize it was the wrong marina. We come back to the New River Downtown marina the following day and plan to stay approximately one week. Gilles installs the watermaker and we visit Fort Lauderdale. The winds are extremely strong and there is no opening to cross to the Bahamas until December 15th.
