Nicolas est parti hier matin, vendredi. Son vol était à 8 :30 a.m. Nous nous sommes levés à 5 :30 du matin pour le reconduire à l’aéroport de San Juan. La semaine a passé très vite. Mercredi, nous avons pris le traversier pour aller visiter l’île de Culebra. Nous y avons loué une Jeep pour nous promener. Comme il faisait très chaud, 31° C, nous sommes arrêtés nous baigner deux fois à deux plages différentes qui était très belles. À midi, nous avons lunché dans un petit restaurant patio en ville qui offrait une très belle ambiance.
Jeudi, nous avons décidé qu’il était temps de faire un peu d’exercice et nous sommes allés faire une randonnée dans la forêt tropicale El Yunque. Nous avons choisi la piste qui nous amenait au plus haut point de la montagne à plus de 3,000 pieds. Nous sommes revenus au bateau en fin de journée enchantés de notre promenade, mais fatigués.
Maintenant que Nicolas est reparti, nous quitterons Puerto Rico dimanche en direction de St-Thomas, St-Martin, St-Kitts et la Martinique où nous prévoyons arriver au milieu de mai.

Nicolas returned home Friday morning, yesterday. His flight was at 8:30 a.m. We had to wake up at 5:30 to drive him to the San Juan airport.
Last Wednesday, we took the ferry to Isla Culebra and we rented a Jeep to visit the island. The temperature was 31°C, very hot as usual, and we stopped twice at two very nice beaches to swim and cool down.
We had lunch at the local patio restaurant which offered good food and atmosphere. Thursday, we decided that it was time for a little exercise and we went hiking in the El Yunque tropical forest. We chose the trail that goes all the way up to the highest point of the mountain, which is a bit over 3,000 feet. We returned to the boat at the end of the day thrilled with our journey, but exhausted.
Now that Nick has left, we will leave Puerto Rico tomorrow, Sunday, to go to St-Thomas, St-Martin, St-Kitts and La Martinique, where we plan to arrive by the middle of the month.
