BAYFIELD 36 LADY M

LADY M has left the 1000 Islands On, Canada at the end of May 2006.
We have now covered over 3000 nautical miles since our departure and are now in Savannah Georgia, USA on our way to the Bahamas and further south.
We have taken what boaters call the long path, sailing down the St-Lawrence River, around the Gaspe Peninsula,through the Northenburland Strait stopping in Charlottetown PEI, Shediac, Pictou and Ballantyne Cove in New Brunswic to finally reach Halifax Nova Scotia at the end of July.
We left Nova Scotia at the end of August 2006,sailed acrossthe Bay of Fundy from Shelburne NS to Bar Harbour, Maine ,USA , a 172 nautical mile overnight crossing that took 30 hrs.
After crossind the Cape Cod Canal and the port of New York we sailed from Sandy Hook NY to Cape May, nonstop then up the Bay of Delaware and entered the Bay of Chesapeake to arrive in Annapolis just in time for the boat show.
We entered the Intracoastal Waterway on November 1st and have since zigzaged our way for 570 miles to our present location where we are waiting at Isle of Hope marina for a storm to pass before we resume our trip.
